Poem #1

Peanut and the dried up balls

The story of peanut begins,
Down in the roots of a peanut tree,
Peanut’s popularity was not in,
Thus to the city of nuts he went off to see.

Peanut met with many mishaps,
A hot spring bath and he became soggy,
He got caught in a SKIPPY peanut bottle capped,
A soak in the sea and he was salty.

One day peanut was lucky!
The sweet hazel nut of his dreams he met,
She was laced with humor that was wacky,
And on a beach mat they sat.

Peanut and hazel were married,
Six weeks later Peazel hanuts were conceived,
Overtime hazel grew tired of peanut’s hat that he carried,
Thus she flew to Australia for Macadamia on Christmas Eve.

The devil played with Peanut’s mind,
He went berserk and ran through many nut malls,
Peanut was too caught up in his own time,
And in the end peanut perspired so much he became dried up balls.
